This Easter week has been truly full of Easter blessings and miracles for me and I am beyond thankful!!! I have always believed the old adage if you want something done well and done right give it to a busy person...probably because I don't know how to be idle and am just attempting to justify my go, go, go personality! ;-) But I digress! Well this week I have added two more hats to my collection! I am now the Director of Corporate and Casino Development at Machine Guns Vegas! MGV is a firearm's experience. I know on the surface that may sound offensive to some but what needs to be imparted is that we are an indoor, very safe, controlled environment wherein a person who would like to try to shoot, let's say a machine gun, does so with an armed services Veteran by their side getting proper and complete instruction before they even touch the firearm! All of our range masters are Veteran's and many are also Wounded Warriors! We support and donate greatly to the Wounded Warrior project through the range and I am very proud of what we do!
Next, some of you may remember that a couple of weeks ago I was asked to be the inaugural guest on a new local news show called "Let's Talk NEWS Now" here in Las Vegas. The producers came to my office on Monday and told me, much to my happy shock and surprise, that my ratings were off the charts...me??? The kicker is that they have asked me to now be a regular feature on the show! I will be reporting in as Mrs. Nevada International 2012 from wherever my travels and appearances take me with my segments airing at least a couple of times per week! I was on yesterday for the announcement and will be on again tomorrow to announce our St. Jude Children's Hospital Gala on May 12!
I think one of the best things about my professional life is yes, I have a lot on my plate, but because of the nature of my "jobs", I make my own schedule and can still move and travel about as Mrs. Nevada International as needed! At this writing I have made over 100 charitable appearances and am easily within reach of my goal of 175 by nationals!
In closing, I just feel the need to repeat that I am so very thankful and grateful for all of the blessings that are in my life and I am beyond thankful for you! I have the most supportive group of family and friends anyone could ever ask for! (A special shout out to my husband and son!)
Have a blessed Easter weekend! If it is not a holiday you recognize or celebrate then make it a weekend about spending time with your loved ones.
Much Love!
