Life is all about risk...and happiness. I believe with all my heart that you can't reach that highest level of happiness unless you risk total annihilation. The down side of that is that occasionally you will be annihilated. (paraphrased from Billy Vera) What each of must decide is how far we are willing to go to realize our dreams and reach that highest level of happiness. I am willing to risk the annihilation. I put myself out there almost daily in the pursuit of things just out of reach...things that are not mine to dictate whether or not I receive them. The things that I pursue are in the hands of God and others to determine my worthiness for them. Therefore each day I work, I sweat, I make lists, I give up sleep, I make phone calls, I write letters, I set goals, I lay myself on the line and I do everything within my power to reach those goals. It isn't enough to wish upon a star, sorry Mr. Disney, it just isn't. We have to be willing to work and risk and maybe get annihilated. Then and only then are we worthy. We must learn to lose gracefully and graciously before we are ready to win.
I was recently asked by a young lady who is also in pageantry how to know when it is time to give up your dream? My answer was given quickly and simply. Never!
Happy Easter everyone! May you all be blessed on this and every day!
