Please join me in doing the right thing!!!

This past week, as many of you who join me on Facebook know, I had my own negative experience with the "Voy" boards.  For those of you who blissfully do not know what these are, they are for the most part pages upon pages of cowards hiding behind a computer bashing other people...ofttimes for made up stories only there to make them feel better about themselves.  I truly feel sorry and pray for these people that they can find some sense of peace within their own lives that will still their poison "pens".  I let go of what happened to me and moved quickly and completely past it.  However, last night, a person that I have so much love and respect for in the pageant community told me of a young teen contestant that she is working with that is being deeply and unjustly maligned (as if this could ever be just!).  The kicker is that it is the Mom of a competitor that is doing this...and her daughter's platform is Cyberbullying!!!  Isn't what the Mother is doing exactly that?  Does she not understand the true irony in this or the possible irreversible damage that she could be doing to this young mind?  Shame on her and shame on ANY of you who have written on these.  Even if you feel you are right in what you are saying where is the percentage for you or anyone in participating?  I ask, no I beg of you, all of you, to boycott these sites!  If none of us use them in any way, even to go see if our names are on them, they will cease to exist.  They thrive through their numbers and their participants!  If you feel you must use them then please, please, please use them ONLY for good!  Get your own page as a moderator and make it a condition of that page to spread the positive and good side of pageantry because that is the reason we are in this!!!  Yes, there are those in it for their own selfish reasons, but that is NOT who most of us are or what we are trying to achieve!  Take a stand against what is wrong and prove that we are, for the most part, tireless and selfless proponents for those who don't have or might have lost their own voices!  I thank you in advance for doing what we all know is the right thing!  May God bless you all for taking a stand!
