The warning signs of a heart attack or a stroke.

Today at the young age of 66, Davy Jones, former lead singer of the Monkees and a major teen heart throb...pre-teen for me...died of an apparent heart attack.  This made me think, did he know the signs?  Did he ignore them?  So, to make certain the people I care about are well informed here they are from the American Heart Association:
HEART ATTACK:
1. Chest Discomfort; 2. Discomfort in other areas of the upper body including one or both arms, the back, neck jaw or stomach; 3. Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort; 4. Other signs, including cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness.
STROKE:
1. Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially all on one side of the body; 2. Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding; 3. Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes; 4. Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.

DO NOT ignore these signs!  Knowing these could mean the difference between life or death in you or a loved one!  Please refer to the American Heart Association website for more lifesaving information at www.Heart.org.

Rest in peace Davy Jones!  You made me smile on so many occasions.  May there be a smile on your face as you sit with our Father!
