February is American Heart Month!

It has been an exciting and event filled month thus far...and we aren't even at the half way point!  Thus far I was delighted to kick off the month at a welcome party for some of the contestants vying for the title of Miss Nevada International 2012, who I will be excited to welcome as my sister queen!

Then we had our kick off party for the AHA and Go Red Las Vegas chapters at Planet Hollywood where we turned the fountains red and lit up the Las Vegas strip with our message!

The next morning it was off to the Las Vegas Academy for the Arts to speak to the Honor Society Art students about painting a sculpture for our annual St. Jude Gala.  We have the honor of being able to auction gorgeous heart sculptures painted by local artists, celebrities and patients of St. Jude past and present.  It was wonderful to able to speak to the next generation about giving back to their community at such an impressionable age!

A great start to a month full of causes and love!
