A blessed life...
As with most people in these trying financial times, my family and I face the same struggles that most of America is facing. There are times when I begin to allow that to creep into my thought process and dwell on a negative. It seems that each time that happens, this weekend being case in point, things happen to show me how blessed my life is and how trivial financial concerns truly are. Yes, when you are struggling it is difficult to see past the growing stack of bills on your desk or figure out how you are going to pay for this or that or sometimes even go to the grocery store knowing that you are going to have to make a list and stick to it...and forget about Target! That one item trip always ends up being $100! But I digress. As I was saying, this weekend I allowed those thoughts to sneak in. Within just a few hours, several signs were sent to me showing me that financial difficulties are temporary and reiterate that it's people and the love of and from same that truly matters. I was inspired to reach out to a celebrity friend to plant the seed of a joint fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by a photo he posted on Facebook. I was inspired to write to another friend in response to a blog she wrote and posted to Facebook and that conversation turned into being a true gift from God as this woman is all that is love and light and just her presence in my life makes me smile from the inside out. I was inspired to write this blog when I saw the photo posted here that another friend posted and was reminded just how beautiful the small things in life are and how deeply they can move you. I received a FABulous text from another dear, dear friend in my life just to wish me a lovely week. Then there's the love of my husband. This love that he gives to me is beautiful, true, untarnished and so unconditional that at times I am in awe of him and they way he loves me and that inspires me to be all that I can be to all who need me. The moral of my little story is that yes we have struggles, no matter their vein at times they can truly weigh us down, but they are temporary. Embrace the beauty, the light and the love and allow all of the other to fade away into the shadows...where it belongs! Have a blessed week and a blessed life!!!
