An amazing day of service!

While my body froze in the very cold, blustery day my heart was warmed and my soul fed!  I had the great pleasure to be of service to Opportunity Village a couple of times today!  My day began at 7:30 this morning in my sash and matching sequined Santa hat appearing at the Great Santa Run!  I'm still waiting on final numbers, but it certainly looked as though we broke the World record for the most Santas...keep your fingers crossed!  It was an amazing show with appearances and performances by the likes of Terry Fator, Zowie Bowie, JabbaWockeez, Recycled Percussion, Robin Leach and the girls of Fantasy.  The Honorable Carolyn Goodman was there and Santa Claus himself even made an appearance!  Then it was time to rush home, shower, change and head to The Palazzo for the first ever Stiletto Dash to benefit Opportunity Village.  This is a part of the Rock and Roll Marathon.  They set up a 50 yard red carpet were stiletto wearing runners competed in heat after heat racing ultimately for a $5000.00 check!  I wasn't given any final numbers, but just knowing what the entry fee was and counting the participants it looks like OV will be getting a five figure donation!  I am exhausted but so very content to have been a small part of helping to raise funds and awareness for such a worthy charity!  Thank you OV for always including me!!!
